Expectations
For Weddings
What you can
expect of ADM:
We will do our best to provide you with a
professional-grade product that will bring you many happy memories of your
life changing event at an affordable
price. We will do our best to deliver the finished products to you in a timely
manner. Typical turnaround can be 2 to 4 weeks for Picture CD’s and 4 to 6
weeks (or less) for Basic tapes or DVD’s. Deluxe or Premium editing will
require additional time to complete, based solely on the complexity of the
editing. You will be treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism by
anyone associated with Affordable
Digital Memories.
Our expectations of you, as a
customer:
We’d like you to treat us as you would a member of your
family. We’ll do the same for you. Please agree to allow photos and or tape
segments of your wedding activities to be used by Affordable
Digital Memories as advertising or demo material. You might even see a
snippet of your wedding on the web.
A financial commitment to ADM is expected at the time you
place your order. Your outstanding balance will be due at time of delivery of
the finished product(s). In case of a cancellation, the first $50 of your
deposit is non-refundable.
If
you like our work, tell your friends. Our business depends on referrals. If you
have any concerns about our work or our product, please inform us so we can work
it out.
What
you can expect from the product:
Your finished video
product will “tell a story.” For
a typical wedding, your DVD or tape will open with a title and an
"intro" shot of your invitation. ( A clean, undamaged copy of your
wedding invitation is needed for this. )
Then, a sequence of the wedding location and/or sanctuary. Preparations
and guests arriving will be recorded, and then some of the pre-ceremony music
and entry of the participants. The actual ceremony follows, and then video of
the reception line and bridal party photo shoot. Finally, the departure of the
happy couple is captured. The reception video will include all major events,
such as introductions, toasts, cake cutting, dances with parents, and the
garter / bouquet toss. Rehearsal footage ( when recorded,) will be appended to
the end of the reception, and will fill the balance of the DVD or VHS tape,
unless you wish to have it on a separate tape or disc. If you wish the
rehearsal on a separate tape, there will be a minimal extra charge for
materials. Rehearsal coverage will not be edited.
ADM will provide
three copies of the finished product to you as part of any contracted package.
These will be in the format of your choice, DVD or VHS. Digital or Hi8 copies
of master tapes can be made available at extra cost.* Understand, that the
Digital (1 hour) tape may require abbreviated or interrupted coverage of
events. Cases and labeling will vary by package type. Basic packaging is Jewel
/ Plain VHS case with picture label.
ADM will provide three copies of CD ROM stills with color labels and in Jewel
cases. Still pictures will be in jpeg format, 640x480 size and 16M colors.
They will be readable by IBM or similar PC running Windows 95 Release 2 or
later and suitable for e-mail or printing at any Digital Photo Instant Print
facility. Digital stills are not intended to replace traditional film-type
photography, but to compliment it. CD stills will be taken from the video and
will include all major events recorded. Selection of stills is at the
discretion of Affordable Digital
Memories for the basic (Bronze) package. Customer input on still selection
is available at extra cost in Silver/Deluxe packages, and is standard (1 hour
maximum) on Gold/Premium packages.
Additional
Considerations:
Original Digital tapes and master DVD’s will remain on
file for a period of one year, should you decide that you want to purchase
extra DVD/VHS/CD copies or request re-mastering to a different format. ADM can
re-master your VHS to DVD with upgraded special effects and enhanced
Audio/Video from your digital tapes within one year of the date of your
wedding.*
Tapes that are recorded with existing light (i.e. no
supplemental floodlights) may be dark and colors may be muted. Tapes recorded
under fluorescent light may have a purplish cast. This is a limitation of all
video equipment. Color correction can be applied both to stills and to DVD’s
in Silver Packages in post-production, at extra cost. Enhancement or color
correction is included at no extra charge in the Gold Package.
Some recordings made with camera mounted microphones have
muted or inaudible sound tracks during dialog, such as the wedding vows. To
minimize this, participants are advised to speak clearly, and arrange for use
of a public address system at the wedding location. Portable radio microphones
and sound mixing are available in Silver/Gold packages, but are only used as
required. Most 2-camera productions have very satisfactory sound levels, since
the 2nd camera is placed close to the speakers to capture dialog.
Important facial expressions and emotions are then also captured in close-up.
Audio correction can be applied to the recordings in
Silver Packages, as an option. Necessary audio and video enhancement are
included at no additional cost in the Gold Package.
Tapes edited “in-camera” (Bronze only) may also have
sudden or uneven transitions between scenes or events. ADM will do its best to
minimize these.
The Bottom Line:
Our intent is to focus on giving you the best product we
can within your budget. If you
cannot afford a large investment, we’ll do our best to give you the best
possible professional grade video remembrance that you can afford. We’ll
work with you, as well as for
you.
We recommend packages over ŕ
la carte, as you get more value for your investment. This will be true in
all cases, except where you absolutely must limit the recording to only the
ceremony. We also recommend upgrading to a better package, rather than loading
options. If you select more than a couple of options, it is more economical to
upgrade. The options you would have picked will be there, plus others that
would have been extra cost are also included.
